Dear Professor Habermann:

	I can heartily recommend Dick Gabriel as a creative, diligent,
helpful and friendly system programmer.  I don't know what we'll do about
Maclisp here when he leaves.  I think he will strengthen any research group
in which he participates.

	I would try to say something about his thesis too, but he hasn't
provided me with a copy yet, and he asked me for the above recommendation,
which I can give from present knowledge.
